A Commercial

The thing about this project that I am most proud of is the utter beauty we created from a rough country home. Working in tandem again with Production Designer Arthur Beck, we turned a plain dirt back lot into several colorful, lively retirement party fiesta scenes. Complete with ample practical lights to create a happy glittering glow, papel picado strung all throughout, a table with extensive array of serving dishes filled with traditional homemade Mexican dishes (we outsourced to achieve authenticity) and fresh fruit that I performed the food styling for, and tables with dozens of seemingly self-served plates styled to be at various stages of consumption to enhance realism. The effect was precisely the warm and family-oriented setting that the client had requested, aiming to convey their commitment to valuing their employees with an emphasis on drivers’ ability to own their own truck and pass it down as they see fit after retirement.
